Browns Mill Draws tough Bracket at Nationals

| Lady Jackets Teams - 99 Lady Jackets |
Browns Mill Lady Jackets draw the 4th and 9th place teams in their first 2 games. The girls demonstrated some awesome speed and quick defense with double plays and pick-offs, but in the end it was not good enough to beat the 4th and 9th place teams. Browns Mill finished tied with 4 other qualifying GA teams.

Browns Mill awarded national berth in Region 4 Qualifier 7-17-2010

| Lady Jackets Teams - 99 Lady Jackets |
Finishing 5th alond with the Atlanta Vipers the Lady Jackets were very happy to find out that there were still enough berths to allow the Jackets to go to Nationals this year. The Jackets have played in and improved their performance in all of the qualifiers (except Columbus). In this tournament they won against the 99 Impact (Jeffries) 4-2, and Lost to the Easton Elite 4-3. Losing to the CV Storm to be put out of the tournament. Expectations are high for nationals in Chattanooga this year.

The Jackets would like to pick up 3 players for nationals and are only carrying 11.

Jackets battle for state title

The 10u and 12u jackets will be at Lost Mountain Park Saturday July10th looking for their chance to win a state title or get the last state association berth to the national championship. If you are out and about take some time to stop by and cheer on the jackets. Games start at 9:00 am saturday.
The Jackets were able to make a good showing against the first place undefeated state team the Worth Cobras and the fourth place state team the North Gwinnett Blaze with run differentials of -5 and -1. This will be great for getting ready for the regional tournament.
